This is a technical audit of your HVAC, electrical and sanitary installations and/or lifting equipment, rather than an inspection carried out by an approved body such as SECO ASBL.
This audit is relevant at various stages in the life of a building, from provisional acceptance to maintenance and end-of-life. SECO’s experts can carry out an independent technical inspection for this purpose, as shown here.
Regulatory inspections are carried out by accredited or approved companies. SECO Belgium ASBL/VZW is an ASBL accredited and approved for regulatory inspections. It is accredited ISO17020 by BELAC, the sole Belgian accreditation body, for regulatory inspections.
Electricity and hoisting inspections are subject to approval by the Federal Public Service Economy (electricity) and the Federal Public Service Employment and Labor (hoisting) respectively. SECO ASBL has these approvals and can therefore carry out these inspections.
Finally, SECO Belgium has the technical skills required to inspect fire-fighting reels and smoke extraction systems.
It is the responsibility of the owner or manager to request the necessary inspections. In fact, they are liable in the event of accidents or personal injury.
Non-compliance of installations and equipment can even lead to shutdown for serious personal safety reasons. Periodic inspections help to avoid these extremes and ensure business continuity.
SECO has been Belgium’s quality and safety specialist since 1934. The same quality standards apply to the regulatory controls carried out by SECO Belgium ASBL/VZW, which holds the accreditations and approvals required by law.
From provisional acceptance to maintenance and sale, technical audits of HVAC, electrical, sanitary systems, and lifting equipment are essential for identifying regulatory inspections and optimizing the balance between efficiency and comfort across building portfolios.
SECO’s engineers carry out these audits with full independence, promoting sustainability and transparency for all stakeholders.
